Faktual.net – Jakarta — Investigators from Unit 1 of the Sub-Directorate for State Security (Subdit Kamneg), Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum), Polda Metro Jaya have rescheduled a second summons for Achmad Nur Sulaiman, also known as Dato Sulaiman, widely known as the CEO of BAT Bank, to appear for questioning on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

The second summons follows his failure to comply with the first call issued on February 24, 2026, where he was summoned as a reported witness but did not appear and provided no official explanation to investigators.

The case is registered under Police Report Number: LP/B/352/I/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated January 15, 2026, concerning alleged fraud and/or embezzlement, as well as indications of Money Laundering (TPPU) in relation to a Platinum Membership scheme valued at USD 1,000,000.

The statement was delivered by the Chairman of the Central Executive Board of Cerdas Waspada Investasi Global (DPP CWIG), Henry Hosang, during an interview with journalists at a café in West Jakarta on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Henry emphasized that the second summons represents the limit of procedural tolerance within the legal process.

“The State has already provided an opportunity. A second summons reflects procedural firmness. The rule of law must not be tested twice,” Henry asserted.

He stressed that as a reported witness, personal attendance is a legal obligation and cannot be substituted.

“Legal counsel has the right to accompany, but not to replace. The examination concerns the individual directly. Do not merely send a lawyer. A reported witness is required to appear in person. The law does not belong to any individual and is not subject to anyone’s convenience,” he stated.

Responding to references about other reports that have allegedly been ongoing for a longer period, Henry stated that each case carries its own dynamics.

“If there are other reports that have been running longer, certainly there are specific dynamics in their handling. We do not interfere in other cases,” he said.

“However, there must be no perception of special treatment. There must be no impression that anyone stands above legal procedures. All citizens are equal before the law,” Henry emphasized.

Concluding his remarks, Henry described March 4, 2026 as a critical moment to demonstrate cooperation with the legal process.

“The dignity of the State must not be put at stake. If one believes he is innocent, then appear and explain. The law must stand upright without the shadow of preferential treatment for anyone. The rule of law must not be tested twice,” he concluded. (Red/JS)
